Imagine a Multimodal Research Paper

Here's a great video that demonstrates children using digital tools to narrate and post their research online so that others can also add comments and extend the learning: Voicethread classroom video

What would you post and what would you say about your research with this tool?

  1. My art class is doing work with digital tools right now. Using a program like Windows Movie Maker can give students a chance to really express themselves. Being able to add music, voice narration of others or themselves, upload pictures, etc...really is a great way for students to be provoked to think about what information they want included and how they want to go about sharing their thoughts. I think a Multimodal Research Paper has the potential for a student to feel proud of his or her work and really take ownership.
